The OBX U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a one-day boating safety class on Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center.

However, the class is available to anyone that wants to learn about the basics of boating, laws governing boating, safety equipment, and how to operate a boat safely on the waters of the Outer Banks.

Registration for the class costs $30, $25 for each additional family member, and includes all materials, exam and refreshments. Space is limited.
