Cape Hatteras soccer team hosts first playoff game against Lakewood on Monday, October 30

Cape Hatteras Secondary School (CHSS) will host their first playoff game of the 2023 NCHSAA Men’s Soccer Championships at home in Buxton against Lakewood High School of Salemburg on Monday, October 30, at 6:00 p.m.

The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes have a season record of 9-8, while Lakewood enters the Buxton home game with a record of 6-13-1.

The CHSS soccer team won the Atlantic Five 1A Conference with a 5-1 record and the team is the #9 seed in the 1A playoff bracket. The team also has a strong record 6-3 record when it comes to home games, and the community is invited to come out to the CHSS soccer field on Monday at 6:00 p.m. to cheer on the Hurricanes.
