CEO of Ocracoke Health Center resigns

The Board of Directors of the Ocracoke Health Center recently announced the resignation of the organization’s CEO, Joseph Rockenstein.

Rockenstein has served in this position since July 2021, overseeing the operations of Ocracoke Health Center, Engelhard Medical Center, and Manteo Community Health Center.

The Board has initiated the search for candidates for this position, and is currently accepting applications. Interested applicants should apply at www.ocracokehealthcenter.org, and all job inquiries should be directed to Dallas Owens, Human Resources Manager, at dowens@ocracokehealthcenter.org.

“The Board has appointed Jamie Carter as the interim CEO and a key management team to lead the organization during the transition,” stated a press release about the resignation. “We will continue to fulfill our mission of providing quality, accessible, affordable community-based medical care to all in our communities.”
