WANCHESE — Cynthia Austin Etheridge, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010,in Barco. Mrs. Etheridge was born in Hatteras and was ahomemakerand member of Harbor Lights Holiness Church.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Pearlie Austin Austin andthe wife of the late Ernest Chester Etheridge.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon E. Austin of Wanchese; two sons,Jerry Etheridge of New Castle, Va., and Ernest C. Etheridge Jr. ofRoanoke, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. in TwifordColony Chapel by Rev. Anthony Ralph. Burial will be inCudworthCemetery. Friends may join the family at Twiford FuneralHome,500 Budleigh St., Manteo, Tuesday, from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
