Douglas Edward Dorris


FRISCO– Douglas Edward Dorris Sr., 72, died on April 30, 2015 at the OuterBanks Hospital. A native of Hatteras, he was the son of the late WalterE. Moscardini and Zilphia Gaskins Moscardini. Douglas was a tug boatcaptain and a member of Little Grove United Methodist Church and CapeHatteras Masonic Lodge #698 AF&AM.

Douglas is survived by adaughter, Donna Williams, and husband, Jarvis, of Buxton; two sons,Douglas Dorris Jr. and wife, Teri, of Frisco and Wally Dorris ofFrisco; three grandchildren, Annette, Petie and Ji, and agreat-grandson, Braylon.

A funeral service will be held atLittle Grove United Methodist Church on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11 a.m.with the Rev. Ken Davenport and Rev. Dwight Burrus officiating. Burialwill take place at the family cemetery in Hatteras. The family willreceive friends and relatives Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 7:30p.m. at the church.
