KITTY HAWK — Caitlin Elise Palmiter, 28, of Kitty Hawk, NC passed away, June 18, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1991 in Chesapeake, VA.
“Caity” grew up on the Outer Banks and loved the beach, her friends and family. She graduated at First Flight High School class of 2009. Caity started her retail career at a young age and always had an exceptional work ethic. She was such a loving soul to everyone she met. Caitlin will always be remembered as our sweet, beautiful Caitybug.
Left to celebrate Caitlin’s spirit is her mother, Suzanne M. Palmiter and significant other, Scott Sumners; her father, Matthew L. Palmiter and wife Cai; step-brother, Matthew Cedric; her sister, Danielle Marie; grandparents, Daniel J. Burke and Elisa A. Tutini; great-uncle, Albert Munza and great-aunt, Mary Ellen Finn-Munza; uncle, Thomas Burke and aunt Christine; cousin, Dylan Thomas and uncle, Kevin Burke, and all the other lives that she touched in her short time with us.
There will be a memorial service at Still Waters Baptist Church at 100 E. Driftwood Street, Nags Head, NC 27959 on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 2pm. Pastor Tony Facenda will be officiating. There will be a brief reception following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to either Still Waters Baptist Church or the Dare County SPCA, PO Box 2477, Manteo, NC 27954.
