KILL DEVIL HILLS — Jean Sawyer Newsome, age 75, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, passed away on March 27, 2024. She was born in Durham, NC on August 5, 1948.
Jean was a longtime employee at the Nags Head Ben Franklin, where she dedicated her time and efforts. She was a beloved mother to her daughters Beverly Lynn O’Leary and Crystal Dawn O’Leary, and a loyal companion to her dog, Brandie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Barnette Sawyer and Gilbert Sawyer, as well as her husband, Willie Raymond Newsome, Jr.
At this time, there are no services scheduled for Jean Sawyer Newsome. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
