FRISCO — Mark Lawrence Rawl unexpectedly passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 62, in Frisco, North Carolina. Mark was born to Larry and Frances Rawl on July 9, 1961.
He happily retired from the United States Army and National Guard after serving 28 years as a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter instructor pilot. During his service, Mark was deployed to Bosnia in September 2001.
He graduated from Bel Air High School in Bel Air, Maryland. He grew up in Harford County, MD, but spent his retirement years relaxing and enjoying life on the beach in Hatteras, North Carolina. He loved his family, his dog Cora, and the countless friends he so easily made. Mark enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and being a professional patron of the many local businesses he loved and supported. He made a huge impact on his community and on so many people. He was thoughtful and kindhearted and such a great person to have on your side.
Mark is survived by his mother, Frances Anne (Luczkowski) Rawl; two daughters, Emily Rawl and Taylor Rawl; son-in-law, Matt Stankavich; two sisters, Terri F. (Rawl) Strupp/Mark and Jessica S.
