Simon Paul Aycock, Jr.

It is with profound grief and sadness that we write this obituary for our only son, Simon Paul Aycock, Jr.  He was 49 years old. Paul, as most knew him, passed away on June 27, 2019 in Portsmouth, Va.

He was the son of Stephen and Susan Walters from Southern Shores, NC where he lived for 45 years. He is also survived by his father Simon Aycock, Sr. of Chesapeake, VA; two loving sisters, Tammy Elaine Aycock and her partner Ricky Powers and Stacie Lynn Mohr.  He had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends. Paul was an avid fisherman and was known by the fishing skills he had.  He was also known as the “Fish Whisperer.” To all his friends:  Paul loved you very much, and we hope you loved him too.

Paul also has a son and a little girl.  Please pray for them. Paul’s wish for cremation will be honored.  The family’s decisions concerning a memorial gathering are still pending at this time.

When you remember Paul please remember:

PSALM 73:36

My heart and my flesh may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul’s name may be made to Outer Banks Dare Challenge. Condolences to the family may be expressed via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop funeral services was entrusted with arrangements.
