Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry runs to nearly double during Easter holiday

The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division will add 12 additional ferry runs in each direction between Hatteras and Ocracoke over the Easter holiday period to accommodate the increased traffic demand.

The additional runs will begin Tuesday, March 26, and continue through Monday, April 8. Ferry runs will be made between 5:15 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. each day out of Hatteras, and from 5 a.m. until midnight from Ocracoke.
