CHEC plans outage for April 25-26 on northern Hatteras Island

The Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative has issued an outage notice for Monday, April 25, and Tuesday, April 26 for the villages of Avon, Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo.

Maintenance on the transmission system will require two 30-minute outages each day in Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo.  There will be one at approximately 6 a.m. and a second at 4 p.m.

Avon will also have a brief outage each day at approximately 4:30 p.m.

If for any reason, your electric service does not return following the planned outage, call 866-511-9862.
