Buxton Beach Nourishment Update – July 28, 2017

Pumping has quickly approached the village of Buxton since this past Tuesday evening when the dredge resumed digging. The marine forecast shows that offshore sea conditions will be severe this weekend with predicted peak wave heights between 8-10 feet. This is well beyond the safe operation requirements for the dredge. However, Weeks Marine has decided to keep the dredge on site so that pumping can resume soon after sea conditions subside early next week.
