Share post:

According to Weeks Marine, beach nourishment in front of the village of Buxton was completed on December 22. The beach was opened to the public on December 23. Pumping operations began proceeding north of the village of Buxton on the evening of December 22. Approximately 72% of the project is now complete. Due to rough seas and high winds, the dredge R.N. Weeks had to be shut down the evening of December 27. Dredging will resume once weather and sea conditions permit.

Weeks Marine reports the dredge Magdalen is expected to leave the shipyard and set sail to the Buxton job site this week. The dredge is expected to arrive in Buxton late next week.
