UPDATE:  Bonner Bridge Record of Decision now available

Share post:

The Record of Decision (ROD) on the Bonner Bridge replacement, signed off on by the Federal Highway Administration on Dec. 20, is now available.

Dara Demi, lead communications officer for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, says the ROD will be posted on two DOT websites next week and has not yet been posted only because of key personnel who have been on vacation.

Meanwhile, she said the ROD is available to anyone who asks and she provided a copy to The Island Free Press yesterday.

The 166-page document contains details on the project and also includes the public comments on the May Environmental Assessment and agency responses.

Next week, the ROD will be posted on the NCDOT website for the Bonner Bridge

http://www.ncdot.gov/projects/bonnerbridgerepairs/ and on the website of the Outer Banks Task Force, a multi-agency group, that has been and will continue to work on the project.

That web address is http://www.obtf.org/.
