83 new COVID-19 cases reported over the past week in Dare County

Dare County announced 83 new positive COVID-19 test results over the past week, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 3,503.

The county provides weekly case counts on Tuesdays, and this number has been increasing steadily for the past month. Last week, Dare County reported a total of 54 new COVID-19 cases, and the week before, the county reported 40 new COVID-19 cases. On June 29, the County reported a total of seven new cases over the previous week.

With this week’s new cases, the current number of active cases in the county is now 57.

The 83 additional cases consist of 33 non-residents and 50 residents, and include the following:

  3. resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
  4. resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
  5. resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
  6. resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
