Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet Responds to Collision in Pamlico Sound

Crew members from the U.S. Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet responded to a vessel collision in the Pamlico Sound on Saturday night, August 24, per a recent online statement from the station.

Five persons involved in the collision were transferred from the water to the station’s 47’ Motor Life Boat (MLB), where Coast Guard crew members administered first aid on the scene. The persons were then transported back to the Hatteras Inlet station via the Motor Life Boat, where Dare County EMS personnel were waiting to continue to assess any injuries.
