Ferry Division Career Fair will be held in Ocracoke on Jan. 31 as part of major 2025 recruitment effort

People will have a chance to set sail on a long and rewarding career as the North Carolina Ferry Division hosts a series of five career events to find qualified applicants to staff its ferries, terminals and shipyard.

The career events will be held at the following times and locations:

  • Jan. 31: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Ocracoke Island Community Center, 999 Irvin Garrish Highway, Ocracoke.
  • Feb. 5: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., NC Works Big Rock Career Center, 3813 Arendell St., Morehead City.
  • Feb. 12: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., College of the Albemarle – Dare Campus, 205 U.S. 64 South, Manteo.
  • Feb. 21: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Southport Ferry Terminal, 1650 Ferry Road, Southport.
  • Feb. 26: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Beaufort County Community College, Building 10, 5337 U.S. 264 East, Washington.

Applications will be accepted for temporary and full-time positions at all experience levels, from general utility worker to experienced boat captains.
