Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperation (CHEC) will require a planned power outage in Avon and the Tri-villages on Tuesday, May 11, in order to perform maintenance work to the transmission system
The power outage scheduled for Tuesday is as follows:
- Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Avon will experience a 5-minute outage at 7:30 a.m. There will also be a brief outage at the conclusion of the work.
Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras village, and Ocracoke Island will be served by limited diesel generators during this timeframe.
