U.S. 64 lane closures between Nags Head and Manteo to be extended next week

Share post:

The single-lane closures currently on U.S. 64 between Nags Head and Manteo will be extended approximately three-quarters of a mile to the west next week.

The lane closures are necessary to allow Dare County workers to perform maintenance on culvert pipes under the highway.

The work is expected to take two to three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

During that time, the right lanes and shoulders in both directions will be closed to allow room for the equipment and materials needed to perform the culvert work.

The speed limit in the work zone will remain 45 mph.
