Mildred Beaman McCabe

AVON — Mildred Beaman McCabe, 88, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 atColony Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Avon, she was thedaughter of the late Dewey and Catherine Williams Scarborough and wasthe widow of Russell Ira McCabe. She was also preceded in death by ason, Earl Beaman.

Mildred is survived by a daughter, Brenda Morgan, and husband Robert ofBuxton; a brother, Ray Scarborough, and wife Opal of Buxton; twograndsons, Robert Morgan, III and girlfriend Nikki of Buxton and JohnMorgan and wife Stacey of Charlotte, and two great grandchildren,Hannah and Ian Morgan.

A funeral service will be held at Avon Worship Center on Monday, April23, at 2 p.m. with Pastors Bryan Gray and Roger Dill officiating. Burial will be in the Scarborough Family Cemetery. The family willreceive friends and relatives at the church on Monday from noon until 2p.m. prior to the service.

Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
