GREENWOOD,S.C. — Charles E. Todd, 64, of 4408 Highway 25 South, husband ofGeraldine Brown Todd, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at his home.
Bornin Abbeville, S.C., he was a son of the late Charles Strong Todd, Jr.and Winnie Mae Todd. He was a graduate of Greenwood HighSchool,received his B.A. degree in English from Lander University, Greenwood,S.C., and received professional designations in insurance and riskmanagement from the Insurance Institute of America. Heretiredfrom MARTA, Atlanta, where he worked in Risk Management. While inAtlanta, he served with the United Way, receiving recognition forfundraising efforts during their campaign drives. He was afounding member of the Greenwood (S.C.) Sertoma Club and was a memberof Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, Greenwood.
Survivingis his wife of the home; three children, Ruth Todd Morgan of Buxton,N.C., Charles Allen Todd (Jennifer) of Greenwood, and Andrew ChapmanTodd (Heather Harris) of Hodges, S.C.; stepchildren, Russell “Russ”Harrison, Brad Harrison (Missy), Pamela Patterson, all of Greenwood,and Priscilla Palmer (Roger) of Simpsonville, S.C.; three sisters, RuthTodd Boyd and Kathy Todd Darragh, both of Greenwood, and Linda ToddBone of Abbeville, S.C.; four brothers, Alan McCane Todd of Greenwood,David Crosby Todd of Abbeville, S.C., Daniel Kennedy Todd of Kirksey,S.C. and Samuel McClain Todd of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren, VictoriaElizabeth Gonce of Ninety Six, S.C., Ashley Nicole Bateman, ChristopherJames Bateman and Andrew Allen Paul Bateman, all of Buxton, N.C., LewisWilburn Todd of Greenwood, Alexus Paige Harris of Hodges, S.C., DeeAnneMorgan and Lewis Thomas Morgan, both of Buxton, N.C., Madison HopeHarris of Hodges, S.C., Matthew Allen Todd and Catherine Anne Todd,both of Greenwood, and Aiden Charles Todd of Hodges; sixstep-grandchildren and two step-great -grandchildren.
Amemorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harley FuneralHome Chapel, Greenwood.
Thefamily will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2p.m.
