HATTERAS– Mary Farrow Curles, 76 went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2012 atthe Currituck House. Ms. Curles, a Hatteras native, was born on Nov. 4,1936, to the late Lester B. Farrow Sr. and the late Salina GaskinsFarrow. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Farrow Fosterand Jean Bunting, and two brothers, Buster Farrow and Johnny Farrow.
SurvivingMary Curles are her four sons, Velton Austin Jr. and wife, Sharon;Alphe Austin and wife, Debbie; Richard Austin and wife, Rebecca, andJames Kelley II and wife, Trena. Ms. Curles is also survived byher brother, Dick Farrow, and her sisters, Carolyn Parker and BarbaraBunting. Also left to cherish her memory are her nine grandchildren andsix great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held atCape Hatteras Baptist Church on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. Viewingwill be one hour prior. The Rev. Russell Howard will officiate. Aprivate burial will be held at the Farrow Family Cemetery in Frisco.
Thefamily extends special thanks to Ms. Curles’ hospice nurse, Amber Lane,and the staff of the Currituck House.
