HATTERAS — Elizabeth Anne Styron, 65, passed away on Sunday, June 5,at Colony Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in NagsHead. Anative of Hatteras village, she was the daughter of the late Edgar LeeStyron and the late Cathleen Stowe Styron. Ms. Styron will beremembered for her love of reading and fishing. Sheespeciallyenjoyed competing in surf fishing tournaments. She was amemberof Hatteras United Methodist Church and previously worked in managementin the hotel industry, managing The Diplomat at the Virginia Beachoceanfront.
Ms. Styron is survived by her two brothers, Homer Styron and wife Maryand Edgar Preston Styron, both of Hatteras, and her four sisters,Brenda Lee Freitager of Asheboro, N.C., Ronda Rasmusson of Badin Lake,N.C., Sherry Lynn Styron, also of Asheboro, and Amelia Sue Styron ofRoanoke, Va.. Also left to cherish her memory are her manyniecesand nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and her best friend, Dee Callahan.
The family will honor Ms. Styron’s wishes to be cremated and scatteredin the Atlantic Ocean. A service will be held at a laterdate.
