WANCHESE — Maryann Cookie Pratt, 64, of Wanchese, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2019.
A native of the Outer Banks, Maryann was well-known in the community and loved by everyone who knew her. She lived for spending time with her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t with her family, you could find her doing one of her many loved hobbies. She thoroughly enjoyed making arts and crafts, especially wreaths and jewelry, trying out new recipes she found, hanging with her friends at the Dare County Senior Center, and kicking butt at bingo.
Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Pratt, Sr.; her parents, Mary Evans Parsons and James R. Parsons; son, Joey Pratt; and a daughter, Dahna Pratt.
She is survived by her children, Junior Pratt (Colleen Pratt) of Bastrop, LA, Lorrie Ann Hanssler of Columbia, NC, Bruce Pratt of Brunswick, NC, Brian Pratt (Annie Tillett) of Nags Head, NC, Rocky Pratt (Nicole Pratt) of Jarvisburg, NC, and Vaughn Pratt (Kimberly Pratt) of Wanchese, NC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, lots of amazing friends, and her loving K-9 companion, Bingo.
The family would like to share their appreciation for the loving thoughts and prayers received during this time. Maryann will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Twiford Colony Chapel with Pastor Mark Hinson officiating.
