Hatteras Island Oyster Roast returns on February 15, 2025
The North Carolina Coastal Federation (NCCF) will once again host its annual Hatteras Island Oyster Roast on February 15, 2025, which is a popular fundraising event that celebrates local seafood along the waterfront of Hatteras village.
The public is invited to warm up around the fire at Oden’s Dock for the old-fashioned oyster roast, which also gives back to the local coastal environment of the Outer Banks.
On Saturday afternoon, February 15, attendees will be treated to fresh oysters, seafood chowder, cornbread, and other refreshments, as well as homemade desserts from the on-site bake sale.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the North Carolina Coastal Federation’s oyster education and restoration programs, and tickets can be purchased in advance starting in January 2025.
Tickets are $55 and includes all-you-can-eat steamed oysters, one serving of clam chowder, cornbread, and a nonalcoholic beverage. Thanks to support from Carolina Brewery, alcoholic beverages will be available for additional purchase on-site.
Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended, as this event has previously sold out. At-the-door ticket sales may be limited or not available. Guests 15 years old and under can attend for free with a paying adult.
This event is planned to take place outdoors, rain or shine, so attendees are advised to dress accordingly. (In the case of extremely bad weather, the event location may change.)
