Cape Hatteras Elementary School’s Chess Club is highlighted in new video from CurrentTV, Dare County Schools
The Cape Hatteras Elementary School’s (CHES) Chess Club was recently highlighted in a video produced by Dare County Schools (DCS) and the county’s CurrentTV.
The Chess Club is one of many morning clubs offered at CHES, and additional extracurricular groups include the Running Club, the Fiber Arts Club, the Reading Club, and the American Sign Language Club.
“Cape Hatteras Elementary School’s Chess Club is giving students the chance to strategize, build friendships, and challenge their minds – all while having fun!” stated the DCS in an update about the new video. “Discover how the club got its start and how the school is supporting student interests and building community through creative, engaging clubs like this one.
“A huge thank you to Ms. Jenn Auguston for sponsoring the club, and to the many generous donors who provided resources to bring this vision to life.”
