On May 23 at approximately 1:49 am, Dare County Sheriff’s Office, C District, conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 12 near Nace Jennette Rd. in Buxton, N.C.
During the stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. While the Deputies conducting the search of the vehicle, an amount of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized.
Michael Ayward Godbey, M/51, Frisco, NC, was charged with (F) Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Godbey was given a $6,000 secured bond.
