On October 21, at approximately 11:15 p.m., deputies from the C-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of N.C. Highway 12 and ORV Ramp 34 in Avon.
During the stop, it was determined that a passenger in the vehicle had an out of county warrant for their arrest. During a search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was located and seized. The passenger who had been arrested and placed in the patrol vehicle was removed from the back seat for a more thorough search. When they were removed, an amount of Methamphetamine was located and seized.
The individual, identified as Annie M. Clever, F/28, Frisco, NC, has been arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and served with the Misdemeanor Failure to Appear Warrant out of Camden, NC. Clever was issued a $500 secured bond for the warrant and placed on a hold for the Felony Possession of Methamphetamine charge.
