User feedback sought on eTRIPS/mobile reporting app
NOAA Fisheries’ regional partner, Atlantic Coastal Cooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP), is seeking user feedback on its eTRIPS/mobile reporting application.
The Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Management Division encourages permit holders that use, or have considered using, eTRIPS/mobile, to consider completing this brief questionnaire.
Multiple federal and state partners are distributing this survey, so please disregard this notice if you have already completed the questionnaire.
ACCSP, in collaboration with its state and federal partners, is conducting the survey about potential improvements to the eTRIPS/mobile reporting application. eTRIPS/mobile is a trip-level reporting application used by both state and federal commercial and for-hire fishers to report their trip, effort, and catch information. eTRIPS/mobile is available on Android, IOS, and Windows-based devices.
ACCSP is looking to enhance eTRIPS/mobile to use internal GPS receivers in mobile devices to record locations, plot live locations on a map, and provide alerts related to pre-set boundaries. This feature will work regardless of cellular network availability.
Participation in this survey will allow ACCSP to better prioritize potential improvements to the GPS capabilities of eTRIPS/mobile. Participants in the survey will be entered into a lottery to win a gift card.
The survey will close at the end of the day on Friday, August, 18.
