Buxton Transfer Station Closed Until Further Notice

The Buxton Transfer Station is closed until further notice due to an issue with the weigh-in station where residents and commercial builders have waste weighed before disposal. Staff is on site assessing the problem and the

Buxton Transfer Station will reopen as soon as possible. The Manns Harbor Transfer Station located at 1603 Cub Road is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The first 500 lbs for residential customers is free, and the rest is prorated at $65/ton. For more information, contact Dare County Public Works at 252.475.5880.
