Beginning with the April 19, 2021, Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting at 5 p.m., all public comments will be presented in-person or by sending an email to the Board. Public comments via email are accepted from the time the public meeting notice goes out until the meeting ends. Those providing public comments in-person must adhere to North Carolina’s COVID-19 social distancing requirements and also wear a mask or face covering (with the exception of their time speaking at the podium).
Due to the state’s social distancing requirements, there is a limit on the number of individuals that can be present in the Board of Commissioners meeting room at the same time. If the number of public commenters at any given meeting exceeds the number of individuals who are permitted in the meeting room, an additional room within the Dare County Administration Building will be made available.
Public comments will also be accepted in-person at the Fessenden Center Annex (47013 Buxton Back Road, Buxton, NC). Those providing public comments in Buxton must also adhere to North Carolina’s COVID-19 social distancing and mask/face covering requirements.
