Dare County Announces Veterans Day 2021 Schedule Changes and Closures

Dare County offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in observance of Veterans Day. This includes the Manteo Recycle Yard, the Dare County C&D Landfill and the Buxton Transfer Station.

All Dare County offices and facilities will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Dare County Public Works, which provides trash collection for the unincorporated areas of Dare County as well as the Town of Kitty Hawk, has announced that residential and commercial trash collection will operate on its normal schedule for the week of Monday, November 8, 2021, through Friday, November 12, 2021.
