The Dare County Library has announced the return of its Library Enrichment Series for Adults, which will be offered as virtual Zoom presentations that patrons can conveniently tune into from home starting on Friday, September 17, 2021.
Each month from September 2021 through November 2021, a new hour-long presentation will be made available.
Registration for each program is required, and space is limited. Registration will remain open until the night before each presentation, and once a user is registered, Zoom login instructions for that program will be sent via email.
Programs are free to Dare County residents and property owners ages 18 years and older. Some presentations will be repeated so you can select the program date and time that you prefer. You can register up until 5 p.m. on the day before the presentation, but remember that space is limited.
This year’s Library Enrichment Series for Adults features presentations about mindfulness and meditation, job and career assistance, as well as a Novel Writing Month series for budding authors that may inspire you to write and learn how to land an agent or self-publish.
To kick off this series, Rosie Rankin and Shirley Parker of Outer Banks Inner Journey, Center for Self-Care and Well-Being will present “Mindfulness and Meditation” on
Friday, September 17, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. This presentation will also be repeated on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn how to relieve stress in your work or home life and get tips for how to relax and refocus using simple meditation techniques. Mindfulness also helps you face life’s pressures, adjust to new situations and set new life goals.

This is really awesome stuff! Keep it coming!
Local history and local science related topics delivered via Zoom sessions would also be super interesting!
I’d like to tee up the specific topics of bird, other local critters and native plant identification sessions.
