Dare Schools to offer virtual learning even if students return to class

On September 17, Governor Cooper announced that NC school districts now have the option to return students in grades K-5 to school using Plan A. The Dare County Board of Education will be meeting in a special called meeting on October 1 to discuss options for returning our students to in-person learning.

We realize that the decision to return to in-person learning is complicated, and families may have extenuating circumstances that make this a difficult decision. That is why we will offer parents the opportunity to enroll their child into our virtual learning option when and if the decision to return to in-person learning is made. If you would like to learn more about the virtual learning option, please review the following:
