Free wellness screenings will be held on Feb. 22 at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building

Free wellness and health screenings will be available for Hatteras Islanders on Thursday, February 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building in Rodanthe

The screenings include cholesterol, blood sugar, heart rate, body mass index, and blood pressure checks, as well as general health coaching. The event will also offer free A1C screenings, which measure a person’s blood glucose level over the past three months.

Appointments are highly recommended and take priority. Appointments can be made by calling 252-449-4529.

The Wellness Screening event is being offered by Outer Banks Health and is open to all community members.
