The Frisco Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) will hold a BBQ fundraiser on Saturday, July 6, to raise funds for the department’s new fire station.
The event will be held at the Frisco fire station at 52470 N.C. Highway 12 from 12:00 p.m. until the food sells out, and will feature barbecue, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert, and a special guest appearance from Chilly Hank’s Ice Cream in Frisco.
All proceeds will go towards the Frisco VFD’s efforts to fund a new and more weather and flood-resilient fire station.
Earlier in 2024, North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM) announced that the Frisco VFD was one of the first round of grant recipients for the 2023 Disaster Relief and Mitigation Fund (DRMF), with a $425,000 award towards the project.
The BBQ fundraiser is donation-based, with no set cost per plate. For more information on the event, visit the Frisco VFD’s Facebook page.
