North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) President Al Adam had the pleasure of presenting a $5,000.00 check to Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men (CHUMM) in recognition of their outstanding community service work in 2023.

Ray and Claire Schaaf, who have run the Hatteras Island Food Pantry for years, are on Al Adam’s left in the photo above as he hands the check to Director Dennis Carroll.”We at NCBBA are proud to support the fine work by CHUMM,” stated Adam in an update on the donation.

NCBBA recognizes many organizations for their service to the community, and CHUMM works closely with Social Services in Dare County to recognize those who need special help.

CHUMM is celebrating its 46th year of service in 2024, and donations and support are continually needed to keep all CHUMM initiatives going strong. The public can learn more about the organization via the Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men’s website at  https://www.hatterasmethodistmen.org/.
