The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau will soon be accepting Event Grant and Tourism Impact Grant applications. Only Dare County non-profit organizations and government units are eligible to apply.
Applications Accepted: August 1-15, 2024
This grant program is to help create and support events that drive overnight visitation to the Outer Banks in less than peak months (September 7 to June 15). Event Grants must be applied for at least four (4) months in advance of the event. All events grants are disbursed on a reimbursement basis. Grant dollars can be used for marketing, infrastructure, entertainment and T-shirts.
Applications Accepted: September 1-30
This grant is designed to help Governmental Units and Nonprofit organizations located in Dare County with programs or services needed due to the impact of tourism. All TIG grants are disbursed on a reimbursement basis. Awards over $50,000 require a match . All TIG applicants must contact the Grant Administrator, Diane Bognich, prior to submitting an application to describe the project and determine eligibility.
