The Buxton Transfer Station, the C&D Landfill in Manns Harbor and the Manteo Recycle Yard will be closed on Thursday, November 26, Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Dare County Public Works, which provides trash collection for the unincorporated areas of the county and the Town of Kitty Hawk, has announced a revised collection schedule.
There will be one residential pick up per area the week of Thanksgiving, November 23 through November 27.
Residential Trash Collection for the week of November 23 through November 27 will be as follows:
- Monday, November 23: Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
- Tuesday, November 24: Manteo, Wanchese, Manns Harbor, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
- Wednesday, November 25: NO RESIDENTIAL COLLECTION
- Thursday, November 26: CLOSED, HAPPY THANKSGIVING
- Friday, November 27: CLOSED NO TRASH COLLECTION
Commercial will be picked up on Monday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 25.
