Dare County encourages community to honor local veterans by participating in Operation Green Light
Dare County proudly announces the recent passage of a resolution in support of honoring local veterans by participating in Operation Green Light, a National Association of Counties initiative that encourages residents and businesses to show their support to local veterans by shining green lights throughout their communities to let local veterans know they are seen, appreciated and supported.
The Dare County Board of Commissioners strongly encourages residents and business owners to join in the efforts and recognize the importance of honoring all those who made immeasurable sacrifices to preserve our freedom by displaying green lights at their place of business or their residence from November 4, 2024 through November 11, 2024.
An array of Dare County government buildings and facilities will be illuminated with green lighting in honor of these local heroes during this time period as a symbol of appreciation and support for the veterans who have so selflessly served our nation.
