Hatteras Island Families are coming together to help Santa make sure each child in North Carolina, especially those affected by Hurricane Helene, can have a gift for Christmas. Boxes for your donations will be available at various locations on Hatteras Island from now until Thanksgiving. We kindly request that the items donated be new, in original packaging, or lightly used in cellophane wrapping or Ziploc bags to ensure they can be easy viewed and will remain clean while in transit. Donation items will be distributed to the children and families in need, at specific pick up centers in western North Carolina, the weeks leading to Christmas.
Families on Hatteras Island have often experienced the devastating effects of Hurricanes. It is our privilege to be able to bring a little bit of sunshine to the children and families who have been most impacted by hurricane Helene, at this auspicious time of year.
