Mary E. Styron Anderson

OCRACOKE– Mary Elizabeth Styron Anderson, 86, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 in aNags Head nursing home. Mrs. Anderson, born in Ocracoke, was astorekeeper at the Albert Styron Store and was a member of the OcracokeUnited Methodist Church. She was a former resident of the Manson areaof Indiana.

Mrs.Anderson was the daughter of the late Albert Monroe Styron and the lateMamie Spencer Styron. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death bytwo sisters, Edna O’Neal and Daisy Gaskill, three brothers, Elvin“Bud” Styron, Norman H. Styron and Albert M. Styron, Jr.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Albert L. Anderson of the residence; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeralservices were held at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church on Friday,November 30, 2007 with Rev. Joyce Reynolds and Rev. Sam Garrisofficiating. Mrs. Anderson was buried in the Ocracoke CommunityCemetery. In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made to theOcracoke United Methodist Church, Ocracoke, NC 27960.
