OCRACOKE — Anthony John Borek,54, died onThursday, May 5, 2011 in Ocracoke. Mr. Borek was born inBlackRiver Falls, Wis., and was employed by the North Carolina Department ofTransportation, Ferry Division. He was the son of EvelynMcIntyreBorek and the late Tony Borek and the husband of Jane Borek of Ocracoke.
Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Borek is survived by a daughter,Rebecca Borek of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; three sons, Nicholas Borek ofWisconsin Rapids, Evan Borek of Ocracoke, and Benjamin Borek ofWisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Terresa Sternitzky of Neillsville, Wis.,and Alice Sherman of Boone, N.C.; one brother, Russell of Black RiverFalls, Wis., and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 6900Swedish Road, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 on May 13, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.
