RODANTHE– Clarence E. “CE” Midgett, 61, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 at hisresidence. Born in Dare County, he was the son of the late Clarence E.Midgett, Jr. and Lillian Payne Midgett. Mr. Midgett was a veteran ofthe Vietnam War and a member of Clarks Bethel Church in Salvo.
Mr.Midgett is survived by his loving wife and love of his life, SheliaJones Midgett of the home; a daughter, Kelly Williams of Cartersville,Ga.; two stepdaughters, Baby Girl Nicole Furman of Chesapeake, Va., andKim Brown of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Janice Haines of Waves; abrother, Steve Midgett of Rodanthe; three grandchildren, and twostep-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conductedWednesday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. in Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev.Cris Noble officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 4:30p.m. in Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Chesapeake, Va., by theRev. Calvin Corbett. The family will receive friends and relativesWednesday, Oct. 26, from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
