BUXTON– Timothy Earl Jennette, 53, of Buxton, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 athis residence. Tim was the owner of Jennette Construction. He was a skilled, hands-on craftsman who loved the challenge ofcompleting ambitious projects. He was the grandson of the lastprincipal keeper of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. He was proud ofhis island heritage and loved the company of his family andfriends. Tim loved high adventure. He was an accomplishedsurfer and standout wrestler at Cape Hatteras High School.
Leftto cherish his memory are his sister, Terry Jennette Ponton, andhusband, John, of Avon and beloved nieces, Sarah Ponton of San Diego,Calif., and Susan Ponton of Portland, Ore.
Timwas predeceased by his parents, Rany Brooks Jennette and JosephineMiller Jennette, and a younger brother, Kil Lee Jennette. He willbe dearly missed by his many friends.
ACelebration of Life service will be conducted at Buxton UnitedMethodist Church on Friday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ken Davenportofficiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests thatdonations be made to the Buxton United Methodist ChurchBuilding/Memorial Fund, POB 672, Buxton, NC 27920.
