BUXTON– Leon Harry Reasor, “Pretz,” 70, formerly of Lucerne Mines, Pa., wastaken home to be with our Lord on July 2, 2015 at Sentara NorfolkGeneral Hospital. Born on May 4, 1945 in Lucerne Mines, Pa., he was theson of the late Walter Lee and Helen Pauline Reasor. He was a troopleader for Troop #24 in Homer City, Pa., and a troop leader for a BoyScout Troop in Penn Run, Pa. Leon was a volunteer softball coach forseveral years for the Homer City Summer League, and also a coach for awomen’s summer softball league in Buxton. He was an avid outdoorsmanwho enjoyed camping, hunting, and especially, fishing. He enjoyedspending time with his family.
Leon is survived by his wife of 44 years, Noreen Laura Thayer Reasor;three daughters, Michele Fletcher and husband, Todd, of Brush Valley,Pa., Tracey Spritzer and husband, Rocky, of Walters, Okla., and StacyMarkey of Havelock, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, Zachary, Kennedy, Kassidy,Ricky, Michael, Nichole, Bobby, Melissa, Nathan and Sammy; and severalgreat-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by ason, Walter L. “Bud” Reasor Jr. and two brothers, Walter “Sonny” Reasorand Harold “John” Reasor.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at Heritage of FaithFamily Church in Frisco at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Stoweofficiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Mondayevening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Twiford Funeral Home in Hatteras. Amemorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
