HATTERAS — Faye Ballance Foster, 57, died on Wednesday, July 8,2015 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Born in Memphis,Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Lester Bascom Ballance andEmilia Ann O’Buch Ballance. Faye began battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma in1999. She never gave up on God, and by His grace, she beat Hodgkin’slymphoma, but would succumb to acute myeloid leukemia. Faye loved life,her community, her family and left an impact on everyone she met.
Faye is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 35 years,Desmond “Buddy” Roderic Foster, Jr.; a daughter, Krystal Foster, ofHatteras; a son, Marshall Foster, and wife, Ashleigh, of Hatteras, anda brother, Victor Ballance.
A funeral service will be held at Hatteras United Methodist Church onSaturday, July 11, at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Ken Davenportofficiating. Burial will take place at the Foster family cemetery.
