SALVO — Joan Annette HooperO’Neal, 76, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016. Born in Rodanthe, shewas the daughter of Zenovah Catherine O’Neal Hooper of Salvo and thelate Edward Burgess Hooper. Annette worked as the innkeeper for theSalvo Inn Motel. She was a member of the Fairhaven United MethodistChurch and the Rebekah Lodge.
Along with her mother, Annette is survived by three grandsons,Christopher Bruner of Salvo, Charles Bragg of Salvo, and Shane Brunerof Oklahoma.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, at Clarks BethelUnited Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Bliss officiating. The familywill receive friends and relatives prior to the service, beginning at12 noon. Private burial will take place at the Hooper Family Cemetery.
