BUXTON — On Feb. 14, 2016, Susan“Sue” Lynn Wheeler, 65, went home to be with her Lord. Sue grewup in Barberton, OHIO, where she graduated from Barberton High Schooland received her bachelor’s degree in education from the University ofAkron. She devoted her life to the things she loved most: her faith, her family, and her students.
Sue is survived by her husband, Dale; two loving daughters, Amanda(Tony) Windham and Jennifer Wheeler; sisters, Kathy Gerrick andMerrie (Eddie) Heinrich; brother-in-law Edward (Marsha) Wheeler;nieces, Chandra (Tom) Kahl and Tandi Wheeler, and many other lovingrelatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations of newchildren’s books (kindergarten through fifth grade). Sue, as ateacher’s aide, loved reading books to children for them to dream andlet their imaginations fly. We will be donating the books to CapeHatteras Elementary School. All books should be mailed to JennWheeler, P.O. Box 907, Buxton, NC 27920. To donate money to thefamily fund, you can go to any LGFCU or SECU and ask for AmandaWindham’s special account.
