STATENISLAND, N.Y. — Olga Menville Meekins Infanti, 81, died on Wednesday,Oct. 12, 2016 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Born in Avon, she was thedaughter of the late Walton Chauncey Meekins and Kathleen HooperMeekins. Olga worked within the investigations department of thebanking industry. She loved to read, assemble puzzles, and completecrosswords and word searches. She enjoyed traveling with her sister,Barbara, and most of all, Olga loved spending time with her childrenand grandchildren.
Olgais survived by her three children, Richie Meekins, Nancy Aponte andhusband, Mark, and Vittoria Valentino; daughter-in-law, Lorna Infanti;five grandchildren, Sheryl O’Neal, Kayla Valentino, Alexandra Infanti,Gabriella Infanti, and Daniella Infanti; and one great-grandchild,Jordan Varamo. Also surviving are two siblings, David H. Meekins andBarbara A. Austin. Along with her parents, Olga was preceded indeath by a son, Mark Infanti, and three siblings, Ena Scarborough,Chauncey H. Meekins, and Milton H. Meekins.
Afuneral will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, at Faith LifeWorship Center in Avon with Pastor Bryan Gray officiating. Burial willtake place at the Hooper family cemetery. The family will receivefriends and relatives before the service beginning at noon, andimmediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
